How to Write a Well-Developed Character

Hey guys! I’ve seen a lot of people online with trouble making well-rounded, believable, flawed characters that add to a story. There are “character creation sheets” that allow you to answer every question in a characters life, but honestly, though they’re fun and interesting, they don’t help flesh out a story as well as you’d want. I saw this post a while ago on Reddit, actually, and one of the responses REALLY helped me make my main characters interesting, compelling, and active. This way, I can grow into a strong storyteller and it’ll hopefully one day come more naturally to me… and you! So here are just a few tips I’ve compiled from personal experience, and I hope they help you become a …

I’m watching a movie called Somm, and there was something I heard just now that I wanted to share with you. “You have to put in your heart and soul… it takes a lifetime. It’s very simple!” -Robert Mondavi We’re all writers and readers with dreams. We all have heart and aspirations that get us through day-to-day life, and I just want you to know: whatever your dreams are, whatever hopes you have, its 100% possible… you just need to be devoted to it. And I just want you to know, we can do this together. What kind of projects are you guys working on this year? It’s the beginning of the year- I feel like it’s been a really refreshing start, too. I mean, I’m not the kind of person that believes everything changes over the course of one calendar day, but I truly believe that, just like nature, we are a cyclical, seasonal type …
